Our Vision

Creating works of art that are loved and enjoyed is our goal. Building lasting relationships with out community and our customers is our vision. Through excellent customer service, being involved with our community and listening to what our clientele desires, we plan to meet and exceed your expectation.

Flowers North is part of our Yellowknife heritage.

Flowers North was established in 1974, located in the Yellowknife down town we have been offering premier floral designs, plants and giftware. Though Flowers North has changed hands over the years, each owner was been vetted and trained to carry on the legacy that is this home grown( pun intended) Flower shop.

In recent years Flowers North has made some great upgrades to its image, having a face lift inside and out bringing it into the 21st century which was recognized by the Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce and the City of Yellowknife when we were named the Trailblazer Woman in Business.

Using the idea of "hyperlocal" we have reused furnishings and revamped, our pallet wall is a hit and also holds all our luscious plants!

Did you know we are Indigenous owned and operated? Yes we are!

Designer

Stacie Smith

Owner since 2015 Stacie has brought her energy and flair to Flowers North. Her educational background is Visual Arts and Business Management. Certified in various styles of design she likes to keep herself up to date on all the latest techniques, tips and tricks of the trade.

Stacies favourite medium is foraged greens, working from the land that she grew up on. Being indigenous she grew up learning about the land, mother earth, smudging and giving back to the land when she has taken from it with an offering of tobacco.

Stacie was the 2017 recipient of the Trailblazer Women in Business Award. She is involved in her community and the revitalization efforts for downtown, she is a member of City Council, a mother to two crazy energetic boys and a friend to her community.

Stacie loves creating large scale works of art, travelling and puppies.
